Stop saying “Internets”.

It’s so 2004. Often a baby step into the poisonous abyss of “co-opting Internet slang into ordinary sentences to show that you’re hip”, this word has lost all humour. Use it as a marker for recognising which celebrities on Twitter are aware of Internet culture.

You can only say it if

You may say it if you are referring to the specific instance in the 2004 Presidential debates in which George W. Bush made up the word. It was kinda funny then and still is. Just not nearly enough to make it a linguistic habit.
